Those souvenir pictures of these trips to the south of Europe are found decades later in Berlin, scattered and fragmented by time.
The series Südsee in lila Farbe- mit Brille rebuilds links between these forgotten narratives and our present. Isolating details, concentrating déjà-vus, it traces out landmarks reconstituting a space of shared memories. Parasol, lounger, ice cream flavour, iodine smell suddenly come back to memory.
